Who we are?
Vanitha Seva Mandira is a very renowned association of ladies since more than six decades. Started as a small unit by women, of women and for women, VSM has grown into a large fruit bearing tree standing as a testimony to thoughtfulness, empowerment and organizational strength of our founder members.
Way back in 1950’s , Smt. Sowbhagya Narayan, a resident of the area used to have traditional get-togethers at her home. This group of ladies, who had imbibed noble thoughts and character of friendship, selflessness, sacrifices, harmony were inspired by the motivational words of Sri. Jagannath Rao Joshi and the year 1958 saw the seeds of Vanitha Seva Mandira being sown.
Vanitha Seva Mandira, started in the house of Smt. Sowbhagya Narayan became an arena for women of the locality to utilize their free time for developing creative, cultural, artistic literary, culinary talents and skills for self development and contribute for country’s development.

1958
Vanitha Seva Mandira started in the year 1958.
Registration of this Organisation on 8th April 1959.
1959
1966
With the support of well wishers, VSM got a place from BDA on lease in 1966.
With the donation given by many industrialists and philanthropists a small building started in 1967 and its inauguration was done in 1970.
1970
1976-77
Starting of Kinder Garten and Montessori section.
Starting of Primary section.
1977
1987
Starting High School section and Ashadeep-a day care center for specially abled children.

VSM Activity
VSM is continuously vibrant with year long activities over the years starting from Member Enrollment, General Body Meetings, Observing Service Day regularly on Republic Day, Explorative trips to members, competitions in area of cooking, fancy dress, drama, dance, arts, and other cultural activities.
VSM has its daily activities like laughing club and yoga class. Exhibitions are arranged occassionally to encourage ladies to step up their entrepreneurship skills, and at the same time provided opportunities for the students of VSMES the future citizens of India. Our annual school gathering conducted thematically reflects the co-ordination of VSM members and VSMES in thoughts and deeds
