Principal's Message
Vanitha Seva Mandira English School recognized in short, as VSM School, since decades has etched its name as a premier institution serving the locality.
Joining the institution in 2014, I had known from parents, old students and others from different walks of life as a school imparting good education; the school that is run by a group of cultured, committed and dedicated set of women who would make no compromise with quality. The school was well set and had a clear vision for itself and the task faced by me was to live up to the standards.
The conversations with Smt.Sowbhagya Narayan,the founder of Vanitha Seva Mandira,would enlighten me regarding the vision and how they transformed every challenge into an opportunity in setting up the school. Smt.Vatsala Prabhu,with her literary background and immense experience would brief in short about the development of the school. Smt.Vimala Ramajois, the then president at the time guided me and supported with a caution of not moving away from the path set by the elders in the mission of value based holistic development of children and concern for society at large. The gently affectionate words with Smt.Lakshmi Janardhan, Smt.Vanalakshmi, Smt.Shakuntala Nagaraj, Smt,Nagarathna S Rao, Smt. Shantha S.Rao- The founder members of Vanitha Seva Mandira spoke volumes about their vision being carried successfully to the coming generations. The present managing committee members equally enthusiastic , affectionate, committed and dedicated are working day in day out to realize the dreams of elders and now I am proud to be a member of VSM family.
I am directly involved in the major offshoot of Vanitha Seva Mandira, the educational institution. The institution hosts in its premises, Asha-deep-a day care center for specially gifted children, Montessori section following successfully the Maria Montessori methods, the KG section following integrated approaches for unfolding the abilities of kids, Primary and High School sections covering 1st to 10th standard following State syllabus and recognized by the government of Karnataka. The strength of the institution is around thousand, catering to children coming from all strata of the society. The pride of the institution is that though a quality English Medium school providing all state of art facilities, the fee is not out of reach even for the financially not so sound parents.
The school has established itself with high percentage of results and known for its emphasis laid on quality education which helps our students to face tough challenges and shape their future with aspiration, assertiveness and ability with a blend of constant recharged energy, inner confidence, deep faith in Indian ethos and human values.
As we are all aware, a new ocean of technology and knowledge era has emerged in the 21st century. The scenario has changed from small villages and cities to global village and universal standards. Every area, however small or large it may be is being scaled in terms of richness of skills in numbers, variety and quality. VSM has realized this and adopted new teaching patterns which enables the students to complete globally enriching their knowledge and experience. Our well stacked library with a collection of fiction to reference books caters to all students and teachers and research enthusiast with the laboratories not falling behind. All classes have been provided with smart board. Performing arts and fine art sections are quipped with suitable requirements to address the subtle sentiments and ability of enjoyment. The sports and yoga facilities are providing a strong physical background for all the activities of the school.

Our teachers and other staff members are always ready to serve and serve with a smile, with a wonderful blend of affection and discipline. Visits to other school of repute, museum and other learning centers; orientation courses, workshops, interactions with people of repute have provided a sea of opportunities to equip themselves to face the 21st century challenges. Our teachers and students alike are given training in academic skills, life skills, soft skills and leadership skills, enhancing their emotional , social and contextual quotient in their pursuit of life. Vanitha Seva Mandira continues to strive further to promote quality, competence and commitment exploring their potential within a stimulating atmosphere that sparks creativity and exploration providing necessary elements which reinforce the larger objectives of providing a well-rounded education for the holistic development of future citizen of the nation and world.
Today, the society has seen a sea change. Televisions, Mobiles, I-pods, apps have taken over the lives of people and dictating their life styles and thought processes. This is a challenge for all concerned be it teachers, students or parents. We, at VSM have realized the demands of the Herculean task of being steadfast in our vision and mission. Constant parental interaction, parental education, counseling are a part of school calendar and it is heartening that parents are getting ready to face the social challenges and provide healthy guidance and suitable atmosphere to their wards in preparing them for a bright future.
